I read the Dawson et al (2014) paper written, for a Learning Analytics and Knowledge conference, for this activity in reading order of abstract, section 4.3, then sections 1 and 2. This paper is about learning analytics, rather than an example of learning analytics, but it also includes examples of social network analytics, i.e. the figures in the author network.
Using the examples from Dawson et al (2010) as a guide, I created a social network diagram from the interactions in two threads in the H817 tutor group discussion forum.
